Demonstrating an irony completely lost on him, Trump rant-tweeted that Romney is a pompous ass. If he is, he's still trying out for Little League, while Trump has long been in Copperstown.
After 9 full days of letting Trump kick his ass all over every media, lay waste to his reputation, denigrate his family and call he and his son "stone-cold crooked" on any network with a microphone, Joe Biden released an ad which comes to the shocking conclusion that Trump is unhinged.
Joe... buddy, nut up dude. Rally on. Don't stand still, punch and move, cover your chin, stick and jab with your left, bob and weave, get in close and put him down with an uppercut.
Because if the last 8 days is your idea of counterpunching you're going to need a comprehensive new dental plan. And soon.
Mitt Romney -- the Republican that Republicans didn't like in 2008 because of his "opportunism (read: private equity funds) and a lack of core principles (read: he's a Mormon)" -- fired out a couple of tweets against Trump and in support of Biden, demonstrating the 2008 Republicans were so close to getting it right, except for being 180 degrees off.
Turns out Mitt's opportunism now is to stand up to Trump and his core principles seem not at all lacking in doing so. You'll notice there was no avalanche of support for his tweets from fellow elephants in the room, desperately trying to look like anything other than elephants in a room.
Kinda hard not to notice four dozen elephants in a room, all trying to hide behind each other. Except one.
Stand fast... but smile.
